Up-Up and Away!

If you are looking for a fun and inexpensive day trip (2 hrs from Harrisburg) why not consider visiting the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington Dulles International Airport. The center opened in December 2003, and provides enough space for the Smithsonian to showcase the largest collection of aviation and space artifacts in the world!

You can walk among aircraft and small artifacts in display cases located on the floor, and view aircraft hanging from the arched ceiling on elevated sky walks.

The Space Shuttle Enterprise is the center piece of James S. McDonnell Space Hangar. Visitors can get up close to this awe striking space vehicle.
I guarantee you will be impressed! In addition to the a space shuttle, you will have an opportunity to see the Concorde.
Air France signed a letter of agreement to donate a Concorde to the National Air and Space Museum upon the aircraft's retirement and on June 12, 2003. This is a must see!
You can visit the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center for more information - you will not be disappointed.
